1.30.10 Practice

Practice went well today... better than we all expected...
three weeks from now... we need to have 7, Here We Go, and Been Done memorized and close to performance ready....
1 week from now we need to have 2 more songs to practice... 3 weeks from now we need to have those two as well Don't Stop Believing ready to practice....

Notes:
- it looks like the iPod recorder is acting up... we really do need a reliable recording system so we can get good cuts to practice to...
- start putting together new binders for lyrics, chords, notes, etc.
- make sure Joel brings amp so we can hear him and still be able to balance in the mix
- take another stab at Noise... maybe start with bass line this time?
- get a little further in Quirky
- start thinking of acoustic set

it's 2010 and we've discussed we're going to do a little bit of writing as well as do covers...

Yesterday was a fun practice,
we worked on the originals A Million Lives, and Noise...
The process of trying to figure out chords and what we wanted to do for songs were time consuming but fun. Everyone had great input, and it really felt like a real band for a little while there.

We also settled in on some songs we wanted to cover that we're more excited about than the last songs we agreed on.
They are:
Don't Stop Believing - Journey
7 Nation Army - White Stripes
Here We Go Again - OK Go
It's All Been Done - Bare Naked Ladies

Misc. logistical stuff:
- get iTunes up and running (I think Ryan already had this working)
- Eric Bass Tuner
- Drum Mics set up
- instruments up (not sure why I wrote this down)
